A new tool has been developed by Iñigo EA2CQ allowing the use of DMR Brandmeister network for sending SOTA spots using any DMR transceiver. It can be used from any point of the Brandmeister network in the world, providing you have access to a Brandmeister repeater.
How to use it:
Send an SMS to the private DMR ID 214996 following the format below. Use SPACE character only to separate fields or in the comments:
SOTA_REF FREQ_MHz MODE CALLSIGN Optional_comments
(CALLSIGN and Optional_comments fields are not mandatory)
Examples:
EA2/BI-001 14.063 CW EA2CQ/P NOW QRV
You can also use the wildcard ‘*’ instead CALLSIGN to announce yourself:
EA2/VI-001 14.205 SSB * Optional_comments
or
EA2/VI-001 14.205 SSB */P Optional_comments
After sending, you will receive a succesful or fail SMS depending on Sotawatch answer. If an error message is received, you might check your talkie SMS setup and at Brandmeister Selfcare webpage.
Other available commands: (similar to APRS2SOTA commands):
/SPOTS or /S : To receive the last 3 spots published on Sotawatch
/LAST or /L: To receive the last spot published on Sotawatch
/ALERTS or /A : To receive the last 3 alerts
/INFO Summit_REF or /I Summit_REF: To receive info about the requested summit_ref (eg: /INFO EA2/VI-001)
/TIME or /T: To receive UTC time
/HELP or /H: For help

Iñigo EA2CQ ha desarrollado una nueva herramienta que permite el uso de la red DMR Brandmeister para enviar spots SOTA usando transceptores (talkies) DMR. Puede usarse desde cualquier punto del mundo de la red Brandmeister, siempre que tenga acceso a un repetidor Brandmeister.
Utilización:
Envíe un SMS a la DMR ID privada 214996, con el siguiente formato. Utilice el caracter ESPACIO sólamente para separar los campos o en el comentario:
SOTA_REF FREQ_MHz MODE INDICATIVO Comentario_Opcional
(Los campos INDICATIVO y Comentario_Opcional no son obligatorios)
Ejemplos:
EA2/BI-001 14.063 CW EA2CQ/P A LA ESCUCHA
También puede usar el asterisco ‘*’ en vez del INDICATIVO para autoanunciarse:
EA2/VI-001 14.205 SSB * Comentario_opcional
o
EA2/VI-001 14.205 SSB */P Comentario_opcional
Después de enviarlo, recibirá un SMS de confirmación o de error, dependiendo de la respuesta de SOTAWATCH. Si recibe un mensaje de error, debería comprobar la configuración de los SMS de su equipo y en la página Selfcare de Brandmeister.
